The rate card

Every price here is by the day or by the week, as posted: the 14' Aluminum Fishing Boat is $45/day or $100/week, and either pontoon is $220/day or $800/week. The weekly rate is the better deal once you plan on more than a few days on the water.

Which boat for which day

  1. A quiet morning of worm-and-bobber sunfish

    14' Aluminum Fishing Boat, $45 a day

Long Lake's 3,300 acres of spring-fed water are great for sunfish, crappie and bluegills. Add the 9.9HP motor for $90 a day if you want to cover more shoreline.

  2. A walleye-trolling day

    14' Boat & Motor, $100 a day or $350 a week

Trolling is all about covering water, so take the boat and motor together. Renting them as one rig runs $100 a day; the boat at $45 and the motor at $90 listed separately add up to $135.

  3. Seven people or fewer, out for the afternoon

    South Bay 60HP, $220 a day

A pontoon for a family, two couples or a handful of friends. Seven seats, a 60HP motor and the open water of the lake.

  4. The whole cabin, up to ten people

    TMC Pontoon 40HP, $220 a day

Ten seats at the same $220 day rate as the smaller pontoon, which is the reason to ask for the TMC first when the group is big.

  5. A week at the lake

    Any boat by the week

A week on a pontoon is $800, less than four days at $220. A week in the fishing boat is $100, less than three days at $45. Cottage weeks run Saturday to Saturday from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
