Long Lake from the Pioneer docks, a small pine island and the sun path on the water

Let’s go fishing

Long Lake, the Walleye Capital of Wisconsin

Whether you’re a walleye-trolling diehard or a worm-and-bobber sunny fisherman, you’ll love Long Lake. The Pioneer sits right on it in Sarona, with the dock, the boats and the bar all in one place.

Ice fishing on Long Lake

And don’t forget the winters… if you’ve never tried ice fishing, the Pioneer is the place to start!

The Pioneer is open year round, and the bar and grill keeps its 11 AM to 2 AM hours through the cold months. Snow sports, ice fishing and a warm room after a cold afternoon all sit on the same shoreline. The cabins rent with a 2 night minimum after Labor Day.
